About this panel:
Beads and Africa: these
words are practically joined at the hip. A long history of making and
trading beads can be directly associated with that part of the world.
The beads on this panel are combined to
evoke a sense of the different northern and central African countries -
all of which have their own
magnificent cultures. May the rest of us be aware of the fact that African heritage and traditions
vary significantly, depending on location.
Sand cast beads, various
trade beads and three very large ornate beads from northern Africa celebrate the diversified art forms
that this continent has brought forth.

Beads are simple things: to make a necklace, beads can be arranged in
any pattern, using any shape or color. No matter their size, origin or material,
the finished necklace always comes out beautiful.
Just as it ought to
be with people in a functioning community.
The Neverending Necklace
is the very core and spine of the Love & Peace Project. More so than
any other symbol, it helps visualize love and compassion we have for
others. Accepting and embracing all.
